Westminster Colorado real estate

If you’re thinking about living in Colorado, buying Westminster CO real estate is worth your serious consideration. In addition to great real estate prices, Westminster is a great location. Westminster is conveniently located between Denver and Boulder. Depending on where you live in Westminster, you are within a 15 to 30 minute drive of either Downtown Denver or Downtown Boulder. For information in addition to this page, please feel free to poke around the categories to the right that interest you most. While you’re looking around, be sure to say “hi” by leaving us a comment!

Westminster is also conveniently located within about 30 minutes of the Airport, and inside of an hour of skiing. The northern boundaries of Westminster have some of the most amazing views of the mountains in the front range, so if you’re looking for mountain views, you’ve got them in Westminster. That’s especially the case for areas on west-facing slopes such as “Legacy Ridge” & “The Reserve” (North of 104th & on both sides of Federal). Those areas tend to have homes above $500,000. Lower priced areas that also tend to have great views include “The Windings,” “Highlands East,” and “Highland Greens.” Homes in these areas range between the upper $300,000 range and about $600,000. A couple other areas with homes priced from the mid $200,000 range to the $400,000 range include “Skyland Park,” and “NorthPark” subdivisions. There are certainly many other areas with views, and you should consult with your Buyer agent for more recommendations.

Convenient location between Boulder and Denver isn’t Westminster’s only claim to fame. The city of Wesmtinster places high emphasis on smart growth, and along with all new growth comes an excellent open space and trail system. The Big Dry Creek Trail, Farmers’ High Line Canal, Little Dry Creek & Walnut Creek are just a few of the many trails running throughout Westminster. Joggers, bikers, nature enthusiasts and the like enjoy these trails regularly as well as the dedicated open spaces such as Standley Lake, Hidden lake, Vogel Pond and Margaret’s pond.

Westminster has four public recreation centers, as well as Sun-Microsystems Ice Centre, and dozens of other recreational facilities for those that enjoy organized sports. The City of Westminster takes an active role in constantly providing seasonal activities for its residents. Activities include fishing contests in Westminster’s freshly stocked lakes, kids’ activities for all of the major holidays, a fireworks show that brings visitors from all over the state, and many other activities. To find out more, drop by any of Westminster’s Recreation centers at any time.

Mead St. Station
625 W. 32nd Ave., Denver, CO 80211
Mead St. Station in North Denver’s Highlands neighborhood is the quintessential neighborhood pub.  It’s something we might expect to see on the corner of a street in Dublin. It certainly has become a neighborhood hangout for Highlanders, as well as a draw for people living outside of […]

Colorado Rockies tickets — Attempt II

Tuesday, October 23rd, 2007

Looks like they’re going to try again at noon (MST) today since 8.5 million visitors seemed to bottleneck the servers and only 500 tickets got sold.
Still playing the “we don’t want an angry mob on our hands at Coors field” card, they’re sticking with online as the only way to get tickets:   http://colorado.rockies.mlb.com Good luck!
Go Rockies!

Attention all Colorado Rockies fans:

Tickets to home games to the 2007 World Series go on sale at 10:00am this morning (Mountain Standard time), and since they can’t be obtained anywhere except online, you better be on your toes (and those toes should be on your f5 key).  Unfortunately, Denver residents have no more likelihood of getting tickets to the world series […]
